Lee Health Ranked #1 in Florida for Social Responsibility

Lee Health was ranked No. 4 out of 311 health systems in the U.S. by the Lown Institute for social responsibility! This is the second consecutive year that Lee Health has ranked in the top five for commitment to social responsibility and health equity. Lee Memorial Hospital, which includes HealthPark Medical Center under the same license, ranked number one in Florida for social responsibility and was also in the top-5 in Florida for value of care and avoiding overuse: https://loom.ly/ICc_8qQ

The Lown Hospitals Index for Social Responsibility evaluates health equity, value of care, and patient outcomes for over 3,500 hospitals nationwide. Selynto Anderson, Lee Health Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer, said it best: “It truly makes a difference for our patients when they can receive high-quality care in a supportive environment that feels safe to them, both mentally and physically.” Selynto currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Southwest Florida and is a Leadership Lee graduate, Class of 2023.
