UAVs are not just for the military anymore. Through innovation new and creative applications are not only possible but affordable. UAVs are used today for precision agriculture, wildlife management, construction, real estate, photography, law enforcement and so much more. UAVs can be outfitted with technology specific to your purposes and reliably fly to collect data, spray crops, take photographs and video, perform power and pipeline inspections, maintain surveillance and provide detailed 3-D maps for golfers and golf course owners. UAVs may increase efficiency, improve safety, and save both money and lives. The Chamber of Southwest Florida is bringing together a panel to provide live demonstrations and discuss the many applications of UAVs. The panel includes representatives from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the engineering firm, Conestoga-Rovers & Associates, technology consultant Mr. Stephen Myers, founder of Angel Eyes UAV, and Dr. Ehsani, an agricultural engineer from the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences. Everyone is invited to attend.
