Angela Melvin of Valerie’s Housed Named in Top 30 Nonprofit Executives

Leadership Lee County graduate and founder of Valerie’s House, Angela Melvin, was just named one of the Top 30 Nonprofit Executives in Southwest Florida by The Community Foundation, alongside partners like The News-Press (Fort Myers and Cape Coral), Naples Daily News, and Regions Bank.

With locations in Fort Myers, Naples, Charlotte County, and Pensacola, Valerie’s House is a special place where children connect with one another and learn the tools to heal after they have experienced the death of someone they love.  Having lost her mother at an early age, Angela knows what it’s like to grieve as a child, and she’s made it her life’s mission to make sure no child grieves alone. Because of her drive, passion, and heart, thousands of grieving children and families in Southwest Florida have found hope and connection. Congratulations to Angela on this well-deserved honor!
