This years’ theme is OPPORTUNITIES FOR A RESILIENT RECOVERY IN SOUTHWEST FLORIDA: Protecting Our Water Environment.  While continuing to recover from Hurricane Ian in 2022, our region has faced three more hurricanes, Debby, Helene, and Milton.

Our special guest will be Keynote Speaker, Saskia Pardaans, Senior Advisor Infrastructure and Water Management, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, who will share lessons from the Netherlands.

Our hurricane panelists include:

  • BRIAN HAMMAN, District 4 Commissioner, Lee County Board of Commissioners

  • DANA SOUZA, City Manager, City of Sanibel
  • MAJOR COREY BELL, US Army Corps of Engineers
  • JENNIFER HECKER, Executive Director, Coastal and Heartland National Estuary Partnership

We will also get updates regarding ongoing restoration projects, nutrient removal rules, and FEMA stormwater rule changes.
