The 14th Annual LCEC 5K will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Jim Jeffers Park in Cape Coral, with proceeds supporting United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades. This family-friendly event offers a fun way to start the new year with a 5K Run/Walk at 7:30 a.m., followed by a Kids ½ Mile Fun Run for ages 12 and under, and a Tot Trot for children 4 and under. Setup begins at 6:30 a.m., and awards will follow the races. Registration is $30 (until November 2) in advance ($40 day-of) for ages 12 and up, and $15 ($20 day-of) for the Kids Fun Run. The Tot Trot is free but requires registration. Children should arrive by 8:00 a.m. to participate.
