LLC Graduate Featured in PBS Premiere
Leadership Lee County graduate, Ernesto Lasso de la Vega, Pond Watch Coordinator at Lee County Hyacinth Control, will be featured in the upcoming premiere of “Eagle Rays: Soaring on Spotted Wings” which will be aired on South Florida PBS as part of the EMMY (R) Award-winning original series, Changing Seas.
According to the South Florida PBS press release, viewers will “take an underwater flight with the most elegant fish in the sea. Despite its designation as globally “endangered,” relatively little is known about the white spotted eagle ray’s ecology and life history. Eagle Rays: Soaring on Spotted Wings, follows Florida scientists as they utilize cutting-edge technology to gain deeper insights into the movement and diet of this beautiful fish — allowing them to experience the world from a ray’s point of view for the first time.”
