News-Press Features Chamber Water Luncheon

Award-winning News-Press Senior Writer, Amy Bennett Williams covered the Chamber of Southwest Florida’s August luncheon and wrote an in-depth article about the event. Her coverage gives a great overview of the presentations made by our speakers. The event presented multiple perspectives on the regions’ water challenges. Our distinguished panel included Colonel Charlette Roman, SFWMD Governing Board Member & Board Chair of Big Cypress Basin, Dr. Greg Tolley, Executive Director at FGCU Water School, Calusa Waterkeeper Captain Codty Pierce, and Executive Director of Florida Land Council, Ernie Barnett. Also invited was the incoming Commander of the Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District, Colonel Brandon Bowman.
